Abigail C. Harris | Intellectual Property Secretary

Abigail Harris became part of the team at Maxey Law Offices, PLLC in 2009. On a daily basis, she plays an integral part in building and maintaining client relationships, by handling all correspondence, scheduling and file management. Abigail is fluent in Spanish and therefore especially instrumental as a translator for the firm’s Spanish-speaking client base.

As intellectual property secretary, she provides key administrative support for all necessary documentation and communications during the preparation, prosecution and procurement processes for client patent, trademark and copyright matters. Because Abigail has full access to all client files and computer records, attorney-client privilege extends to her as well, and she is available to assist clients in obtaining information regarding the status of their legal matters if their primary contact is unavailable. To Abigail, as to the other team members at Maxey Law Offices, confidentiality is of paramount importance for all client communications and interaction.

Prior to her work in the legal field, she built a solid administrative background in the insurance and broadcasting industries, having previously worked at executive level at a major television network, where she oversaw extensive correspondence, scheduling and client planning responsibilities.
